Pukekura Park,a tranquil paradise in the heart of the city. Covering 49 hectares, lakeside forest and formal gardens.

The park contains a stunning fernery with the Bowl of Brooklands and Brooklands Zoo close by. Chaddies Charters, will take you to the Sugar Loaf Islands Marine Park a unique habitat for marine life, sea birds and plants, rich in both Maori and European history, cameras are a must.

Next visit St Mary's Church one of the oldest stone churches in New Zealand built in 1842 with a fine interior and interesting history.

Our last stop is at the Govett Brewster Art Gallery, a museum that fosters the development and interpretation of contemporary art and home to a collection from modernist kinetic sculptor Len Lye.

On your return you will be geared up with a Mountain Bike, safety vest, helmet and gloves for a thrilling downhill cycle tour through Egmont National Park (5km) to Kaponga (10km)
