Day 1 Auckland
Arrive in Auckland. This afternoon enjoy a tour of Auckland City “ the city of sails”
Day 2 Auckland - Rotorua
Travel south through the plains of the Waikato farmlands to Rotorua, the thermal wonderland of NZ. This afternoon you have free time to relax in the hot pools before an evening cultural show featuring a traditional Hangi (feast) and Ma
Day 3 Rotorua - Taupo
Enjoy the sights of Rotorua including Whakarewarewa geothermal reserve and Maori arts and crafts, the agrodome and the gondola. Also enjoy horse riding
Day 4 Taupo – Ohakune
Today we jet boat on the rapids at Huka Falls to the base of the falls. Follow the shores of Lake Taupo to Turangi then onto Ohakune where we will enjoy a bush walk on Mount Ruapehu
Day 5 Ohakune - Wanganui
Travel along the Wanganui river to the river city town of Wanganui. We visit a local school this afternoon and meet our homestay families who will host our group tonight
Day 6 Wanganui – New Plymouth
Travel through the Waitotara Valley and lush farmland to Taranaki with views of the Mountain at many vantage points along the way.
Days 7 - 11 Study the English language for speakers of other languages at one of New Plymouths local tertiary institutions. The timetable will consist of a minimum of 20 hours per week in the classroom with daily afternoon excursions including sightseeing, farm visits and activities
Day 12 New Plymouth – Waitomo - Auckland This morning we leave Taranaki and travel along the coastal highway to Awakino where we pass through magnificent bush and farmland to Waitomo Caves to view the magnificent limestone caves with their stagmites, and stagites and many glow worms. This afternoon we arrive in Auckland
Day 13 This morning we visit the Sky tower for great views of the “city of Sails” before we depart for the airport where we farewell new friends as you board your flight.
